Polished wheels have no protective coating and are subject to oxidization. Regular polishing is required on polished aluminum wheels to maintain them. The finish of polished wheels is not covered under warranty. Polished wheels are not recommended for winter use in climates where salt is regularly used. Chrome plated aluminum wheels have the most brilliant shine of any wheels available and are easy to maintain. Just regularly wash with soap and water and they look like new. Chrome plated wheels have a one year warranty on the finish. Painted or clear coated wheels also require regular washing with soap and water and have a one year warranty on their finish. The key to successful wheel maintenance is regular washing. We do not recommend store bought wheel cleaners. Use mild soap and water. Do not allow salt from winter roads to remain on wheels.
