CHEVY STAINLESS STEEL BRAKE LINES / HOSES

If your Chevy truck is 3/4 ton solid axle, it will have either heavy duty or light duty brakes. To determine which your truck has, compare the end of the front brake hose that connects to the caliper to these photos.

Front brake hoses on solid axle Heavy Duty Chevy trucks have round fittings where the hose connects to the caliper. Front brake hoses on Light Duty solid axle Chevy trucks have square fittings where the hose connects to the caliper.

•  On 1978 and earlier Chevy trucks (light and HD) the thread size on the banjo bolt is 7/16"
•  On 1979 and later Chevy trucks (light and HD) the thread size on the banjo bolt is 3/8"
