Details
Ford Twin I-beam suspensions are unique and have their own unique problems. For example, oil leaks, power steering fluid leaks or any other engine leak will drip down onto your axle pivot bushings. The axle pivot bushings are in the end of each I-beam. The I-beam bolt goes through the center of these bushings and attaches the I-beam to the center pivot bracket. When your engine leaks, rubber bushings soak up these fluids which causes them to swell, get soft and give out. When this happens your truck will have alignment problem—not to mention annoying squeaks and pops. Polyurethane bushings are more dense than rubber, they are resistant to petroleum based products and they hold up much better than rubber bushings do. The Axle pivot bushings we sell come encased with a metal housing so you don’t have to re-use the factory shell. This makes installation much more simple.
