Suspension Lift Kit
This truck has a twin I-beam front leaf spring suspension and we have found is very alignment sensitive to height changes. If you do not use a front spring that will hold it's height over the long run, then as the spring settles it will change the tire alignment and causes tire wear problems. The other issue with this type of front suspension is that the only adjustment to set the camber and caster for tire alignment is a bushing in the upper ball joint, only allowing for 2.5 degrees of adjustment. On some kits after any lift is achieved the alignment is out more than 2.5 degrees, and there is no way to correct this. These problems have been solved with this kit by using the Tuff Country front leaf springs and center pivot brackets that have a cam bolt design that give you plenty of adjustment to get the alignment set to proper specifications.
It is very common to see the front upper shackle bushings destroyed on this vehicle, which is why Jack-It will include these polyurethane bushings in all these packages. Here at Jack-it with many, many years of installation experience and seeing what does work and what does not work on these twin I-beam F250 4x4 models, we are confident these are the best packages available for your truck.
The standard package will include all front components needed to properly lift your F250 4x4 including (4) Pro Comp ES3000 shocks and a rear add a leaf to raise the back up to match the height of the front. Step up the deluxe kit and you will receive all items in the standard package plus polyurethane I-beam bushings, tie rod dust boots and a Skyjacker heavy duty steering stabilizer with brackets. Last the premium kit will include all components in the deluxe kit but in place of the add a leaf you will receive complete new Pro Comp rear leaf springs, these rear springs are rated at 3" to 4" over stock height so we have you remove the factory 2" rear block and included the proper length rear u-bolts. This will also reduce axle wrap.
There are a couple of things you need to check before ordering to make sure you get all the proper components. First if you own a 1987 year model, Ford changed the front shock mounts in February, most built prior to 02/87 have a top stem mount on the front shock, after 03/87 they used a top loop mount on the front shock. Second if your truck is a 1997 model then you need to check the driver’s front I-beam mounting bracket, Ford used a 4 bolt bracket on the early 1997 models and a 5 bolt bracket on the late 1997 models. Both styles have two bolts that run down thru the top of the bracket, but the early bracket only has two bolts that run thru the face of the bracket, where the late model has three bolts thru the face. Let us know if the truck has factory contact overloads on the rear to get you the proper length of U-bolts.

Suspension Lift Kit
Jack-It has put together two 4" lift kits for this truck. This kit features a full bolt on suspension package that will include a one piece sub frame with high quality CNC machined cast iron knuckles. The kit will require after market wheels with 4.5" of back spacing or less to give proper clearance for the new knuckles. Rancho has built this kit using the highest quality 1/4" steel construction throughout. This is a great kit to give your F250 a more aggressive look, and it will allow you to clear 33x12.5 tires on a 16x8 wheel. (Note: fits 5.4L without air ride options)
Standard kit includes (1) Rancho lift kit, (4) RS5000 shocks.
