This Dodge kit includes precision engineered CNC machined steering knuckles with a design that allows the rack and pinion steering system to stay in the factory position and keep the proper geometry and precise steering response. The one piece cross members drop down the lower control arms and give protection to the rack and pinion, but they also allow the integrated skid plates that included with this kit a sturdy place to mount. The one thin that Jack-It likes about this Skyjacker design is the re indexing ring that bolts between the transfer case and transmission. It allows you to use the stock drive lines with no modifications needed. The 2002-2005 Dodge 1500 4WD non mega cab has been engineered by Dodge so the shock is the droop stop for the front suspension. This puts a tremendous amount of load on the shock and the way the shock is mounted. The problem with the design is the lower shock mount is just a bolt threaded into the lower control arm. To remedy this and strengthen the shock mount, order a FAB_FTS93013 Double Shear Bracket Kit. It's a great add-on to any lifted or even stock application.

|Notes||Vehicles with the 5.9L motor need to add the SKJ_DTSA10 seal adapter for the clocking ring. Truck has to have the 6 bolt transmission to transfer case, not the 4 bolt. If truck has the 4 bolt you will need to do front drive line modifications. Requires 4.5 inch or less back spaced wheels. Exhaust modification may be necessary for front drive line to clear exhaust cross over.|
