Spring
Perches are welded on top or below your axle tube. Your
leaf springs rest on top of the spring perch. Stock
perches can collapse or get bent out of shape over time
and need to be replaced. Also, if you are going to swap
to a different axle, do a spring over conversion, install
wider leaf springs, or relocate your springs, you will
need spring perches to do the job right.
Rubcon's
Leaf Spring Perches have unique features like 1/4''
steel construction, 6'' contact area with spring, and
multiple center pin holes for easy wheelbase adjustments.
Unique offset pads make welding against the front differential
a snap, and their taller profile helps to create clearance
for steering under spring but not suitable for spring-under
applications. These are not the cheapest pads on the
market, but they are definately worth the extra money.
