The factory's rear shock mounts are capable of accommodating 2.5″ remote reservoir shocks. However, as the complexity of valving increases or when shocks larger than 2.5″ are installed, it becomes crucial to address the vulnerability of the driver's side upper rear shock mount. Utilizing fully boxed and welded 3/16″ cold-rolled steel construction ensures that the mount surpasses the strength of the cross member where it will be welded. It's also advisable to consider triangulation involving the Carli Driver shock mount, crossmember, and frame rail to enhance stability.
