This 4-inch premium lift kit for the Dodge Ramcharger and Plymouth Trailduster is a custom package that Jack-it has put together. Designed by our suspension experts, who have decades of experience (since 1994) selling, installing, and servicing suspension lift kits.  Using our expert knowledge, we have crafted more complete suspension lift kits using high-quality components from various top brands in the aftermarket suspension market.  This provides our valued customers a better and simplier experience.

These kits have been specifically designed for the exact year of your Ramcharger, with proper U-bolt sizes front and rear, all kits include Skyjacker softride front& rear leaf springs. All Ramchargers had rear lift blocks from the factory. These premium packages will eliminate factory rear block, reducing axle wrap. All these options will, of course, include a front sway bar drop kit. Optional M9500 monotube shocks are available for maximum ride comfort and control. Jack-it has included new spring eye and shackle bolts, as well as new front and rear shackle kits with this package. It makes the installation much easier, and 30-50-year-old bolts and bushings are rarely in good shape to reuse. Extended Stainless steel brake hoses will make sure that you don’t over-stretch old brake hoses in an off-road situation.

Ramchargers have a non-adjustable drag link from the factory, making your steering wheels off-center after the vehicle is lifted and affecting turning radius. The correct way to recenter your steering wheel and correct the turning radius is with an adjustable drag link, Jack-it includes the adjustable drag link and a raised steering block to correct drag link angles. We also include new longer studs, locknuts and cone washers to complete the steering correction install.

Installation Notes

One issue is the front pinion angle if you lift your Ramcharger 4 inches or more. The way the factory sets the pinion angle in relation to the caster angle of your ball joints after you lift the Ramcharger, the pinion will no longer line up properly with the front drive shaft without causing your caster angle to be too far out of specifications. You can cut and re-weld your ball joint yokes on the front axle, or you can live with a slight front drive shaft vibration when at higher speeds in 4WD. If you have a 74-80 model Ramcharger with the NP203 transfer case with a full-time 4WD, we recommend converting it to a part-time 4WD setup. All these models have the smaller 5 on 4.5 lug bolt pattern. Factory part-time 4wd models all have 5 on 5.5 lug bolt patterns. All 1981 and new models should all be part-time 5 on 5.5-lug vehicles.

Last of all, most Ramchargers we've lifted 4 inches or taller work best if a CV-type rear drive shaft is installed to run smooth and not have any vibration out of the rear. The rear springs we send have a 4 degree shim attached to the spring, depending on the year of the Ramcharger you may have to swap to a different degree shim if you install a CV style rear driveshaft for it to operate smooth.
