At Jack-it, we offer a wide selection of lift kits to give you the correct type of kit for your vehicle and budget. Choose from suspension lift kits to raise your vehicle between 2 and 10 inches.
For a more economical method, try a body lift kit. We offer leveling kits for most models if you need to lift the front of your truck or SUV. Choose from top brands in the suspension industry, like BDS Suspension, Zone Off-Road, Icon Vehicle Dynamics, Carli Suspension, and Rough Country. Below we explain the types lift lift kits in more detail.
Suspension Lift Kits: For truck, SUV, and Jeep owners looking for additional clearance for larger diameter tires, improved off-road performance, better ride quality, or a combination of all of the above, a suspension lift kit can be a great upgrade. At Jack-it, we specialize in lift kits and offer a vast selection that includes options for all types of budgets and needs. Sizes range from moderate 2 to 3-inch kits up to more aggressive 6-inch and above options.
How much does a suspension lift kit cost? There is no easy answer. A simple rule of thumb is that the larger the size of the lift kit, the more complex the modifications become, and the more the cost will increase. However, not all lift kits are created equal. Some are built for those drivers on a budget, or that rarely leave the pavement, and the components included (strut spacers, lift blocks, etc.) and quality reflects this. Others include high-end components to improve off-road performance and ride quality (including coilovers or long arm upgrades).
Leveling Kits: A leveling kit's primary purpose is to raise the front of the vehicle to sit level with the rear. These kits are common suspension upgrades since most trucks and some SUVs are manufactured with a factory rake (front-to-rear height difference) to keep the vehicle level if carrying a heavy load. However, many drivers prefer a more level look, and that's where a leveling kit comes in.
Leveling kits come in sizes ranging from 1 inch to 3 inches, depending on the year, make, and model they are designed for. There are a variety of types and brands that differ by vehicle model. Choosing the best option for you comes down to your needs and budget. Higher performance options will lift the front of your vehicle and improve ride quality and/or off-road performance.
Body Lift Kits: A body lift is a much different concept than a traditional suspension lift kit. This type of lift does not use suspension components to raise your vehicle but instead is designed to insert high-density polycarbonate blocks between the body and frame at the factory body and bed mounts. Replacement extended-length body mount grade 8 bolts are included to allow for the use of the blocks. A body lift kit has a few advantages over a standard lift kit:
- Your ride quality will remain the same.
- Most kits are more economical than suspension lift kits.
- Extended shocks are not required.
- No front-end alignment is needed.
However, installation can be more complex; the chassis becomes more visible on the underside of the vehicle and in the fender wells. Lastly, some kits include bumper-raise kits, while others do not. If the bumpers are not raised, a gap can be seen between the body and the bumpers.
