Tahoe 2000-2006 Chevy 4WD - SS Series Center Link (upgrade kit) by Kryptonite

The Kryptonite KR99SSU78 SS Series Center Link Upgrade Kit is designed for 2000–2006 Chevy Tahoe owners already running Kryptonite KRTR12 Death Grip Tie Rods who want to upgrade to Kryptonite’s stronger H1-inspired steering system without replacing components they already own.

This upgrade replaces the factory-style curved center link arrangement with Kryptonite’s massive 1-5/8" hex-profile 1144 high-carbon steel center link. New Death Grip inner rod ends and longer tie rod bodies are included to properly adapt your existing Kryptonite outer tie rod ends while maintaining factory steering geometry, alignment capability, and turning radius.

Inspired by the steering layout used on the military H1 Hummer, this design uses dual 90-degree inner rod ends to better manage the high axial loads created by oversized tires, lifted suspensions, towing, and aggressive off-road use. The result is a stronger, more rigid steering system with improved durability under demanding conditions.

For customers already invested in Kryptonite KRTR12 tie rods, the KR99SSU78 provides a cost-effective path to Kryptonite’s SS Series center link system while reusing the outer tie rod ends already on the truck.
