Types of Icon 2.5 Shocks
These shocks come in various configurations, including remote and piggyback reservoirs and CDCV adjustable ride valving.
2.5 IR (Internal Reservoir): This aluminum body shock features an internal reservoir that combines with the large 2.5-inch diameter body for excellent performance in off-road conditions while maintaining a smooth ride on the street
2.5 RR & PB Reservoir: These piggyback reservoir (mounted directly on the shock body) and remote reservoir (connected with a hose) significantly increase oil capacity for even greater dampening ability. This is essential if you frequently push your suspension to the limit when towing or off-roading.
2.5 Reservoir with CDCV: The CDCV (compression damping control valve) shocks feature a 10-position knob that is attached to each reservoir which gives you the ability to adjust the ride quality from soft to firm. When going from highway to off-road conditions, this is an excellent feature for when your vehicle's dampening requirements change.
