What is Premium Freight at Jack-it ?

At Jack-it, we sell many heavy and bulking items. Getting them to our customers in good condition is a top priority. While we cannot control how shipping companies treat the packages we ship, we make every effort to ensure your order arrives at your door in the best possible condition.

Leaf springs are especially challenging when it comes to shipping without incurring damage. These sometimes weigh more than 100 lbs. When boxed, if not handled with care, they can fly out right the end of that box. Most of our competitors will simply slap a label on each leaf spring without using a box and hope for the best. In most cases, they arrive in poor condition.

At Jack-it, we have engineered a "premium freight" system to protect the leaf springs from damage, allowing them to arrive in the best condition possible. This involves a specially designed heavy gauge box, multiple straps to secure the springs within the box, along with high-density foam pads that keep the springs stable and protected. Most packages are sent via UPS ground. This process does have a cost that is significantly more than just applying labels.

While items with the premium freight option will incur additional freight charges, we strongly feel that our customers would prefer their products to arrive in good condition instead of something that looks like they were dropped from a 2 story building.
