Product Description
The Skyjacker C160AK 6-Inch Suspension Lift Kit for 1973-1986 GMC Jimmy 4WD SUVs is designed to provide substantial ground clearance, increased tire clearance, and the classic tall stance of a lifted square-body Chevy. Built around heavy-duty replacement front leaf springs and proven suspension components, this system provides 6 inches of lift with clearance for up to 37x12.50 tires. Multiple Skyjacker shock options allow the suspension to be configured around the desired ride and performance characteristics. The front suspension utilizes replacement leaf springs to achieve the increased ride height, while the rear is raised using lift blocks and new U-bolts. Front and rear U-bolt kits and leaf spring bushings are included to provide the necessary mounting components for the lift. Brake line brackets are also supplied to accommodate the increased suspension height. The system is designed for installation without cutting or welding, providing a comprehensive suspension upgrade for classic GMC Jimmy. Available shock configurations include Skyjacker Black MAX shocks for dependable everyday performance, Hydro 7000 hydraulic shocks for smooth and controlled damping, Nitro 8000 nitrogen-charged shocks for increased control, and M95 monotube shocks for enhanced damping consistency and heat management. With its 6-inch lift height and heavy-duty leaf-spring-based design, the C160AK provides the clearance and suspension capability needed to transform the stance and functionality of a classic Jimmy. If equipped with a front sway bar, lowering brackets are required: SKU SBL40 4. Recommended brake lines: 1979-1987 6-8 inch Lift: Front #FBL19 and Rear #RBL20, 1973-1978 6-8 inch Lift: Front #FBL18 and Rear #RBL20 5. Driveline / exhaust modifications may be necessary. 6. Transfer case lowering kit may be necessary, SKU TCL15 7. Raised steering arm CA100 is required, but sold separately or as an option. Needed to maintain proper steering angles. 8. Note: This lift kit is available to purchase without shocks; however, extended shocks are required to install properly. |
