The Adjustable Alpine IR Long Arms play a pivotal role in balancing front caster angle pinion angles and optimizing rear pinion angles, anti-squat geometry, and tire position. Complemented by a heavy-duty forged adjustable front and rear track bars, this system enhances steering response, centers the axles for optimal vehicle roll center, and minimizes body roll, delivering unparalleled handling. The Long Arm Brackets strategically reposition frame-end control arm mounting points, restoring a near-factory orientation to mitigate bushing stress during extreme droop and absorb shock loads transferred through the Long Control Arms. Why Upgrade to a Long Arm Kit?

When purchasing a Jeep lift kit, a common option is to choose between a "short arm" and a "long arm" kit. For those new to Jeeping, this refers to the control arms and their length. A short arm kit uses the factory mounting points for the control arms.  The long arm kit uses control arms that are extended in length over factory arms and require the installation of new mounting brackets. This design allows for greater suspension travel and articulation, resulting in improved off-road performance, especially in challenging terrain. The downside to the long arm kits is installation is more difficult, and the cost is usually significantly higher.
