Upgrade your Jeep Wrangler TJ's stock steering system with the TeraFlex 4920251 High Steer HD Aluminum Tie Rod Kit. This kit allows you to convert your TJ’s stock steering to a cross steering or a flipped steering setup using the High Steer HD Aluminum Drag Link (not included) and Tie Rod. Flipping the High Steer HD Aluminum Drag Link over the knuckle helps eliminate front-end shimmy, bump steer, and other alignment issues. This conversion requires the TeraFlex Dana 30/44 High Steer Knuckle (#4828490) and the High Steer HD Aluminum Drag Link Kit (#4920244).

The TeraFlex High Steer HD Aluminum Tie Rod Kit is constructed from 1.5" hexagonal 6061-T6 aluminum, with a higher specific strength than 1018 steel. Despite its lightweight construction and yield strength of 45,000 lbs., the aluminum tie rod can withstand significant stress while weighing only a third as much as steel. The aluminum material allows for three times the deflection compared to steel, enabling it to return to its original shape after impact. Additionally, the hexagon shape of the tie rod makes it easy to tighten the jam nuts with a 1.5" wrench. The offset tie rod ends are designed to increase differential cover clearance at the complete turn, providing enhanced maneuverability and protection.
