5" 2020-2026 GMC Sierra 2500HD/3500HD Performance Lift Kit (w/Fox 2.0 Resi Shocks) by Cognito

The Cognito 110-P1270 5" Lift Kit is a complete suspension solution for GMC Sierra 2500HD/3500HD 2WD & 4WD trucks. Engineered and assembled in the USA — with nearly all components manufactured in Bakersfield, California — this kit eliminates guesswork by bundling premium Cognito components into one proven package.

This Non-Torsion Bar Drop design maximizes ground clearance by keeping the torsion bars tucked within the frame rather than lowering them. The result is improved undercarriage clearance, proper CV axle angles, and superior ride quality compared to traditional torsion bar drop systems.

Included SM Series Upper Control Arms correct ball-joint angles and add caster for lifted applications, while increasing allowable droop travel for enhanced ride comfort. These boxed, welded sheet metal control arms are powder-coated semi-gloss black and arrive fully assembled with maintenance-free ball joints and pivot bushings for straightforward installation.

To address a long-standing GM steering weakness, this kit includes Cognito’s patented Pitman and Idler Arm Support Kit (PISK). This innovative system prevents premature wear by properly supporting and controlling steering motion — eliminating the need for a steering stabilizer that only masks the issue rather than fixing it.

Damping duties are handled by Fox 2.0 Performance Series Remote Reservoir shocks. Featuring an impact-extruded aluminum body for rust resistance and increased cooling capacity, these shocks deliver consistent, fade-resistant performance both on-road and off-road.

This system yields approximately 5 inches of front lift and 3 inches of rear lift while maintaining adequate droop travel for a controlled, comfortable ride.
