The Bilstein 5162 front leveling kits are an upgraded version of the 5112 kits, using Bilstein 5160 resi front shocks instead of the 5100. They provide a great leveling solution for Dodge and Ford models that frequently leave the pavement.
The current Ram 2500 / 3500 and Ford F250 / F350 models come from the factory with a nose-down look (the front end is lower than the rear). Many owners complain about this and look for a solution to correct it. The Bilstein 5162 leveling kit offers a solution by lifting just the front end with extended-length coil springs and matching 5160 shocks. This provides 2 inches of front lift to give the trucks an even stance from front to rear. The front shocks are equipped with remote reservoirs to increase the oil capacity for better heat dissipation and control.
