At the core of this system are Old Man Emu BP-51 rear shock absorbers—advanced, user-adjustable internal bypass dampers engineered and manufactured in-house by ARB. Unlike conventional adjustable shocks, BP-51 units offer independent on-vehicle adjustment of both compression and rebound, with 10 levels available for each. This allows precise tuning to match varying loads, terrain, and driving conditions.

The BP-51 internal bypass design provides position-sensitive damping, delivering a smooth, compliant ride during everyday driving while progressively increasing control near the end of the shock stroke. This helps absorb large impacts, reduce harsh top-out, and maintain stability over corrugations, rocks, and uneven terrain—making the system equally capable on-road and off-road. This rear-only suspension kit is tuned specifically for the 3rd generation Toyota Tundra and provides 0 inches of rear lift for unloaded rear configurations. It does not include front shocks or springs, allowing the front suspension to be selected based on individual build requirements.
