The Skyjacker C160CK 6-Inch Suspension Lift Kit for 1977-1986 GMC 1-Ton 4WD pickup trucks is designed to provide increased ground clearance, additional tire clearance, and a commanding lifted stance for classic heavy-duty Chevy pickups. The system combines replacement front leaf springs with rear lift blocks to achieve 6 inches of suspension lift while providing clearance for up to 37x12.50 tires. Multiple Skyjacker shock options allow the kit to be configured for different ride and performance preferences. The C160CK includes replacement front leaf springs, rear lift blocks, front and rear U-bolt kits, a leaf spring bushing kit, and brake line brackets to accommodate the increased ride height. This combination provides the primary suspension components needed to raise the truck while retaining the factory-style leaf spring suspension configuration. Installation is rated as intermediate and requires no cutting or welding. Available shock configurations include Skyjacker Black MAX shocks for dependable everyday performance, Hydro 7000 hydraulic shocks for smooth and controlled damping, Nitro 8000 nitrogen-charged shocks for increased control and handling, and M95 monotube shocks for consistent damping performance and improved heat management. With its 6-inch lift height and support for up to 37-inch tires, the C160CK provides a comprehensive suspension upgrade for building a taller and more capable classic Chevrolet 1-ton pickup. | Important Notes1. Driveline / Exhaust Modifications may be necessary. 2. Transfer Case Lowering Kit # TCL15 May Be Needed. 3. Recommended 4-inch offset drag link available: GMDL4 4. Fitted leafs are available for additional weight capacity (big block or diesel engine) 6 inch FLC160, 8 inch FLC180, use ubolt kit UCCF 5. If equipped with a front sway bar, lowering brackets required: 4-inch lift SBL20, 6-8 inch lift SBL40 6. Recommended brake lines: 1979-1987 6-8 inch lift front #FBL29 and rear RBL20, 1973-1978 6-8 inch lift front #FBL28 and rear #RBL20. 7. Drop pitman arm CA50 and steering block SB60 are required, but sold separately or as options. Needed to maintain proper steering angles. 8. Note: This lift kit is available to purchase without shocks; however, extended shocks are required to install properly. |
