Toyota Bilstein 5100 Adjustable Height Shocks

Using a monotube gas design, these 5100 Series shocks are an excellent method of improving handling characteristics in all driving conditions. Their zinc-plated finish looks awesome and resists corrosion.

What is Adjustable Ride Height?

A key feature of these Bilstein shocks for models with a coilover type suspension (most current 1/2-ton and midsize trucks and SUVs) is that truck owners can choose the ride height. These mono-tube gas shocks use snap rings that can be inserted into various groove locations in the shock body for different lift amounts. Sizes generally run from 0 inches (stock height) up to 3 inches (will vary depending on the model). This makes them a great alternative to a leveling kit with spacers to lift the front end. A frequent add-on to the adjustable height shocks are upper control arms. These increase suspension travel and correct alignment issues.

Inside the Bilstein 5100 is a large 46 mm piston along with Bilstein's patented digressive valving (instant reaction to road conditions) to give excellent ride quality, handling, improved off-road performance, and comfort.

The 46 mm ID steel body is zinc-plated and clear-coated, which gives the shocks a great look while making them corrosion-resistant.
